Terms & Conditions – VKAY Mobiles Last Updated: September 2026 Welcome to VKAY Mobiles. These Terms & Conditions govern your use of vkaymobiles.com and the doorstep mobile repair, pickup/drop and related repair services offered by VKAY Mobiles. By booking a repair, requesting a quote, handing over a device for repair, or otherwise using our services, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to these Terms & Conditions. 1. Our Services VKAY Mobiles provides mobile device diagnosis, repair and replacement of eligible components such as displays, batteries, charging components, housings, back glass and other supported parts. Our primary service model is doorstep mobile repair. Wherever technically possible, the repair will be performed at the customer's location. Certain repairs require specialised equipment, extended diagnosis or workshop conditions and therefore cannot reasonably be completed at the doorstep. In such cases, VKAY Mobiles may offer device pickup, workshop repair and return/drop service after informing the customer. Availability of any service depends on device model, location, technician availability and availability of required parts. 2. Booking a Repair Customers are responsible for providing accurate information while booking, including their name, contact information, address, device brand/model and the reported problem. A booking made through the website represents a service request. Acceptance of a booking is subject to serviceability, technician availability and availability of the required replacement part. VKAY Mobiles may contact the customer to confirm the device, issue, location, price or appointment before assigning a technician. An Order/Booking ID may be generated after successful booking. Customers should retain this ID for tracking, support and warranty-related communication. 3. Pricing & Repair Approval Prices displayed on the website are based on the selected device, repair and part quality and are intended to provide the customer with transparent pricing before booking. However, the actual condition of a device may reveal additional damage that could not reasonably be identified from the information provided during booking. If additional repair or replacement is required, VKAY Mobiles will inform the customer and obtain approval before performing chargeable additional work. The customer is not obligated to approve an additional repair merely because a technician has inspected the device. Where applicable, taxes will be charged according to prevailing Indian tax laws. 4. Payment Unless specifically stated otherwise for a particular service, payment is collected after completion of the repair/service. The customer must pay the final approved amount through an available payment method. An invoice, receipt or electronic service record may be generated for completed repairs. 5. Device Inspection & Pre-existing Condition Before beginning a repair, the technician may inspect and/or record the condition of the device, including visible scratches, dents, cracks, display condition, frame condition, cameras, buttons and other relevant components. Customers should disclose any previous repair, liquid exposure, physical damage or known issue that may affect the repair. Mobile devices containing severe physical damage, liquid damage, motherboard damage or previous unauthorised repairs may contain components that are already weakened or intermittently functional. During normal diagnosis or repair, such pre-existing faults may become apparent or an already failing component may stop functioning completely. VKAY Mobiles will make reasonable efforts to inform the customer whenever such additional problems are identified. 6. Customer Data & Privacy Customers are strongly advised to back up all important data before repair whenever the device condition allows it. A hardware repair may require the device to be powered on, restarted or tested. In certain cases, temporary access to the device may be required solely to verify functionality after repair. VKAY Mobiles does not provide data recovery services unless a particular service is expressly advertised as such. While reasonable precautions are taken when handling a customer's device, preservation of data cannot be guaranteed during hardware failure, diagnosis or repair. Customers should remove SIM cards, memory cards and unnecessary accessories before handing over a device where appropriate. 7. Parts Used for Repair VKAY Mobiles may offer different categories or qualities of replacement parts depending upon the device and availability. The applicable part category, price and warranty will be communicated or displayed to the customer before the repair wherever applicable. References such as Original, Genuine, Premium, High Quality, Compatible or Standard describe the category of part being offered and should be interpreted according to the description provided with that particular service. Unless expressly stated otherwise, VKAY Mobiles is an independent repair service provider and is not an authorised service centre of Apple, Samsung, Xiaomi, OPPO, Vivo, OnePlus, Motorola, Google or other device manufacturers. 8. Removed/Replaced Parts Unless specifically agreed otherwise before repair, a replaced defective component may be retained by VKAY Mobiles where the replacement price, supplier arrangement, exchange programme or repair process requires return of the old component. If the customer specifically wishes to retain the old component, the customer should inform VKAY Mobiles before the repair begins. Availability may depend on the type of replacement part and pricing arrangement. 9. Repair Warranty Eligible repairs performed by VKAY Mobiles include a limited repair warranty, with the applicable warranty period displayed or communicated for the particular repair. The warranty begins from the date the repair is completed. Warranty applies only to: the specific component replaced by VKAY Mobiles; and workmanship directly related to the original repair. If an eligible repaired/replaced component develops a covered fault during the warranty period, VKAY Mobiles will inspect the device and, where the warranty claim is verified, repair or replace the affected component as appropriate without charging again for the covered repair. Warranty service remains subject to part availability and serviceability. 10. Warranty Exclusions Warranty does not cover damage or failure resulting from: physical damage, accidental drops, cracked/broken glass, bending or crushing; water, moisture or other liquid damage occurring after repair; misuse, excessive heat, fire or other external damage; damage caused by incompatible accessories or chargers; software updates, applications, malware or operating-system problems unrelated to the repair; faults in components that were not repaired or replaced by VKAY Mobiles; or a device being subsequently opened, repaired, modified or tampered with by another repair provider/person. Warranty also does not cover a new accident simply because the same component had previously been replaced. For example, if a replacement screen is working correctly after repair and the device is subsequently dropped and the screen breaks, that damage is not a warranty defect. 11. Battery Repairs Battery performance varies according to usage, charging habits, device temperature, applications, network conditions and the overall condition of the device. A battery warranty covers eligible defects in the replacement battery according to the warranty provided with the service. It does not guarantee a particular number of hours of daily battery life. Physical damage, swelling caused by external damage, liquid exposure, excessive heat or damage resulting from inappropriate charging equipment may not be covered. 12. Display/Screen Repairs Customers should inspect the display after replacement and verify basic functionality including touch response, brightness and visible display condition. Warranty applies to eligible manufacturing defects or repair-related faults in the replaced display during the applicable warranty period. Subsequent cracks, impact marks, pressure damage, liquid damage, physical damage or other accidental damage are not covered under warranty. 13. Water Resistance Opening a mobile device for repair can affect seals, adhesives and the manufacturer's original water/dust resistance. Where appropriate, VKAY Mobiles may reinstall suitable adhesive/sealing during reassembly; however, the original manufacturer IP/water-resistance certification cannot be guaranteed after a device has been opened or repaired. Customers should therefore avoid intentionally exposing a repaired device to water or liquids. 14. Doorstep Repair The customer must provide the technician with a reasonably safe and suitable place to perform the repair. Depending on the repair, the technician may require a clean table/work surface, adequate lighting and access to an electrical outlet. The customer or an authorised adult should remain available during the repair and should inspect the device once the repair is completed. Estimated appointment and repair times are not guaranteed. Delays may occur because of traffic, weather, technician availability, previous jobs, parts availability or technical complications. 15. Pickup & Drop Repairs If a repair cannot reasonably be performed at the doorstep, VKAY Mobiles may offer to collect the device for further diagnosis or repair. The device condition may be recorded during collection. After inspection, if additional work is required, the customer will be informed before additional chargeable repairs are performed. Repair timelines for collected devices are estimates and may change because of diagnosis, part availability or technical complexity. 16. No Power / No Display / Severely Damaged Devices Devices received in a no-power, no-display, liquid-damaged, heavily damaged or previously repaired condition may require progressive diagnosis. In such cases, it may not be possible to determine every defective component during the initial inspection. Repairing or replacing one defective component may reveal another existing fault. VKAY Mobiles will seek customer approval before proceeding with additional chargeable repairs discovered during diagnosis. 17. Quality Check & Handover After repair, the technician may perform reasonable functionality checks related to the repaired component. Customers are encouraged to inspect the device at handover and report any immediately noticeable concern before the technician leaves or as soon as reasonably possible afterwards. Acceptance of the device does not remove any valid warranty rights available under the applicable repair warranty or applicable law. 18. Cancellation & Rescheduling Customers may request cancellation or rescheduling before the technician has commenced the repair. VKAY Mobiles may also reschedule an appointment because of technician availability, part availability, weather, traffic, operational issues or circumstances outside reasonable control. If a special-order component has been specifically procured for a customer's device, cancellation may be subject to the conditions communicated before procurement. 19. Unable to Repair Not every damaged device can be successfully repaired. If diagnosis shows that a repair is technically impractical, unsafe, economically unreasonable or requires unavailable components, VKAY Mobiles may decline or discontinue the repair after informing the customer. Where a diagnostic, pickup/logistics or inspection charge applies, it will be communicated to the customer before it becomes payable. 20. Limitation of Liability VKAY Mobiles will exercise reasonable care while handling and repairing customer devices. To the extent permitted by applicable law, VKAY Mobiles will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses resulting from a device being unavailable during repair, including loss of business, profits or opportunity. Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or restrict any right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded under applicable Indian consumer law. 21. Ownership & Lawful Use By submitting a device for repair, the customer confirms that they are the owner of the device or have lawful authority from the owner to request the repair. VKAY Mobiles may decline service where ownership is disputed or where there is reasonable suspicion that the device is stolen, unlawfully possessed or being used for an unlawful purpose. 22. Third-Party Manufacturer Warranty Repair by an independent repair provider may affect a device manufacturer's warranty or eligibility for manufacturer-authorised service. It is the customer's responsibility to consider any existing manufacturer warranty before authorising an independent repair. VKAY Mobiles is not responsible for a manufacturer or authorised service provider changing or refusing its warranty/service coverage following a third-party repair. 23. Service Availability Doorstep service, pickup/drop, warranty visits and other services are available only within locations currently serviced by VKAY Mobiles. Service areas may be expanded, reduced or temporarily unavailable based on operational requirements. Availability shown on the website does not guarantee that every service or replacement part will be immediately available in every location. 24. Website Information VKAY Mobiles makes reasonable efforts to keep service descriptions, prices, supported models and availability information accurate. Occasional errors or outdated information may occur. If there is a material discrepancy affecting a booking, the customer will be informed before the repair proceeds. Product names, trademarks and logos belonging to third-party manufacturers are used only for identification and compatibility purposes and remain the property of their respective owners. 25. Changes to These Terms VKAY Mobiles may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in services, policies, technology or applicable laws. The latest version published on the website will apply to new bookings. Material changes will not retrospectively remove rights already applicable to a completed repair. 26. Governing Law & Disputes These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any complaint relating to a repair should first be raised with VKAY Mobiles customer support so that the issue can be investigated and resolved. Nothing in these Terms limits a customer's right to approach an appropriate consumer commission or other competent authority where such right is available under applicable law. 27.
